Response to Reading #1

The things that don't need modification are the things that we find in nature. Everything that you see that is not nature is designed and has to go through a process that involves a lot of hours. Safety always emerges early as an important issue in design. You can't have a hierarchy when you are designing something because no one knows that one thing "best". The trick is to finding experts so that you can learn quickly instead of by yourself. You should do one project at a time, stay focused, and build ideas off of others. You have to have wild ideas, then you build on those wild ideas and they become better. Ideas are not organized, what they are, is organized chaos. Try new stuff and ask for forgiveness, not permission. This is how you come up with new ideas. It is nice to build a product but if you can create a culture in a process, that is ideal. Always remember, chaos is constructive.
